I have the same problem with jeans. I'm about 5'9'' and do have big hips and a big butt. Which I think is a good thing lol but apparently most retailers think you should be shaped like a popsicle stick. So to get jeans that are long enough and big enough for my hips, they are huge around my waist.

My friend suggested apple bottome jeans. They are specifically made for curvy women and have more room around the hips without having huge waists. (they're more targeted towards black women so I might look a little out of place but oh well lol)
