So I have been told I need to find something to do in the community

I am stressing over this cause physically I can't do any of the sports, mentally I could never take a course, so basically I'm left with mediation or art. I sound flippent I know. I think meditation will be good for me cause it will slow me down and make me more reflective and give me more inner peace. Am I right, is that what its like. Please advise if you have been involved in a meditation group.
