Could you talk to your daughter's teachers about letting her have snacks periodically throughout the day. Teachers are usually (usually) very willing to help with these sorts of things.

Does it have to be high calorie? I have recently found South Beach Diet replacement bars. They're wonderful. They have 19g of protein, 210 calories, and like 17 vitamins (I think).

Normally, I think those types of bars are nasty, but these are actually very good. They are the consistency of a rice krispy treat. They currently have three flavors cinnamon creme, chocolate peanut butter, and chocolate.

At the grocery story they run about $1.79, however, we got them on sale for 4/$5. I just found them at Wal-Mart for $1.29 a piece. When you consider it is a whole meal replacement bar it really is a reasonable price. These would stick easily in her backpack and she could eat even half a bar in the morning and half in the afternoon.

P.S. Don't let the ex get your goat. You are doing great.
