I believe in freedom of choice. But I also understand that when a person is in deep pain, the entire situation is not fully understood. To have a choice means that one is aware of the entire picture and can be informed. Pain masks the truth of life.
Knowing this is what has allowed me to hold off on making an uninformed choice. And now that I am still alive and able to see a bit of hope, to experience joy for the first time ever - even though I had to work very hard to get to this point, well I am glad I did not make the uninformed decision.
