I never associated "shove down our throats" with rape. I can see why it would be, but the mental image I always got was force-feeding, as a parent forcing a child to eat vegetables or something. I never thought of the expression in that way.

So it's not implausible that a rape victim would use that expression. Doesn't excuse her rudeness to you, though, and I'm sorry it affected you badly. Get better soon, with your hand.
