if it makes you feel any better, i check all of my health care professionals each year on their licensing board because i'm paranoid that way too.
it's what we do to make us feel safe so that we can actually go in there and do the work we need to do.
you're just making this safe for you. that's not anything silly, that's something to be proud of!
