Apparently what I have is costus condritis. I probably spelled it wrong but what is important is that I am not going to die or anything. It is an inflamation of the cartilege in and around the rib cage. She said it was fairly common in cases where someone is sick and coughs alot or if there is some sort of trauma to the area. She gave a list of things that can cause it and I can't think of anything that I could have done that fits in that list. Perplexing. So now I have some naproxen to take and if it doesn't get to feeling better in a week then we will do some further testing (ie X-rays). Oh, and remember the blood tests I whined about a month ago. They all came back great so I am good to go for awhile any how...I just had a nasty thought, is this rib cage thing just a part of aging? I mean I have been bounced around a lot, done a lot of abuse to my body physically that would definately fit her list and got nothing more then a little bruise. Now I have done something that has put me into agony and I can't think of a darn thing it could be. Huh.
