He has reflex sympathetic dystrophy which is a neurological pain disorder. Basically his sympathetic system is stuck on and he is always in pain. Anyway, because of poor circulation (ironically), his skin is very thin and he gets frequent sores. He didn't start this fountain spurting thing until about 6 months ago. It has happened before, but we never have any luck getting it stopped on our own. Those paramedics really know how to apply a pressure bandage. He's fine. So far so good. We still may end up in the er tonight or in the morning when he removes the bandage, but hopefully it is over. I actually stay pretty calm when things like this happen. Someone has to.
