I just wanted to write a little bit about my doctors apt today.

I told my doctor today that the mirtazipine isn't working and I feel WORSE. She said the meds don't cause those sides effects so it's just that it's not working. I asked to stop it and try something else, but she said I have to take the highest dose first before we can say it doesn't work. So I'm now taking 45mg a day.

I'm not happy about it but I'll do it anyway.

She's also sending my therapist (who is 'just' as I say, a mental health nurse) a letter to say I need to see a psychiatrist, I'm happy about this because I'm hoping they will be more qualified and able to see the bigger picture... my therapist now is an eating disorder therapist and puts me in a box too much "you feel depressed because you think you're fat".

Thank you for reading. If anyone is taking mirtazipine and it helps them, could you tell me about it? Or even if it's not working I'd like to hear. I really don't like this drug and feel a bit worried that if it doesn't work it's just going to be even longer before I feel better! The psychiatrist will prob take about 6 months (bloomin waiting lists).
