Cheese is good for dreams/nightmares. Also red wine is good. Eat food that is highly flavoured - like pizza.
Mind you no guarantee that you will get a dreams, nightmares or just weird dreams.
Hormones will give you nightmares.
Chances are you do dream but just don't remember them. If you really want to catch your dreams have a pen and paper beside the bed and write whatever you see asap - otherwise your subconscious will snatch it back.
