Hi. I suffer from chronic pain and have been prescribed just about everything. I have had quite a bit of success with Methadone. It is a great pain killer and keeps you pain manageable for a longer period of time. It is also used as a means to stave off the pain in the first place. AND it's cheap..for those who do not have RX coverage..it's a Godsend. I have been on it since 1999. Still works. That is my experience. Darvocet is only for mild pain and its pain killing action is so short-lived.
