Maybe this will help someone. I wrote this several years ago because I actually felt like this. It is from a short book I wrote on depression. Anyways, it goes like this...
"I have felt as the little dog who ran away and got lost, standing in the rain, cold, and hungry. I just want someone to come and feed me, give me a warm and dry place to be, but no one seems to care. Instead, they send me away cold, hungry, wet, sad, lost, and alone; poor doggy."
"I prayed for a phone call when I was all alone. I would have welcomed a wrong number, anything! All to be heard over my sobbing was the clock ticking away and my dog snoring."
It all goes away with time and endurance but believe me there were times I could not believe that. Now that I am older I remember those lessons and try to be a friend to a friend in need.
