I completely agree with you Tomi......& with perzephone. We may say controversial things but it is not always what we say, but the way we say it that causes problems. I meet someone here who had a great sense of humor....but because humor is not redilly accepted here, neither was he.
It is a rough situation here sometimes because I have found some posts I have very strong feelings about......but then decide to back off because I just can't find the way to say what I am feeling in any way that is acceptable. I know that I may be entitled to my opinions too, but not liking to make a problem, tend to back off rather than get into a conflict.
I am not good at the "I'm sorry" responses.....feel that unless I can offer something worthwhile & something that won't hurt, I just shut up. I do agree that it is important to not feel like we have to respond to every post we read. If we don't relate, it is best to just let it go to others who can relate.
I also find that when I am not feeling good, I am horrible at responding too because I don't think things through at that point.....& is safer to not say anything than to say something I am sorry for later on.
