My impression is that Adobe Acrobat Reader is only for reading documents, not for creating or modifying them. Acrobat Reader is distributed free to anyone who wants it in order to make Acrobat itself more useful to those who've paid for it.

I sometimes take a "screen shot" with Alt-Print Screen (which saves an image of the current window to the Clipboard), then use Photoshop (another paid product from Adobe!) to save the image as a JPG file. It's not as convenient as a PDF but it has all the info that was showing in the window.
