One other thing to consider in your tutorial, or maybe to write a tutorial about, is that different users are going to be seeing different reply options and controls depending on what settings they're using. I experimented a little during my first month or so here, then settled on the settings I've been using ever since. I tend to forget, when I'm telling someone else how to do something, that they might not be seeing on their screen quite what I'm seeing on mine:

-- At the bottom of my screen (when I'm viewing a thread and haven't started to reply yet) I see a "Quick Reply" box ready to type into. With some of the settings I tried earlier, though, that same box appeared grayed and if I wanted to reply to the thread (not to an individual post) I had to use some other method. I don't remember what setting(s) I changed, or where, to arrive at my current ones.

-- In one thread last spring, we started discussing reply options and one member asked about some button they were seeing at the bottom of every post. Nobody else seemed to have anything like that. We eventually figured out that that member was using one of the alternative "skins".

The thread where all this came up was Feedback & Technical Support > Reply Permissions, 06-07-2009. Oh, that's another difference issue -- you'd write that same date as "07-06-2009," wouldn't you?
