You misunterstood my post...none of those relatives are mentally ill; that is the life they
choose to have, and they are very happy. They are all quite capable of working harder jobs that pay more money, but my point is that they are happy just the way they are, and I admire that.
Also remember that the benefits not only include an income, but also medical doctors, psychiatrists, therapists, medications, hospitalizations, etc. and that ends up being a lot of money. I'm thankful that the program even exists.
