Hey lynn...you have to understand the nature of limewire and other peer to peer sites...they are sharing sites which mean that the files you download are actually on someone else's computer...so if you have sharing turned on then you too are sharing files that are on your computer with others on the net...google limewire and find a how to turn off file sharing tutorial...scan each download with antivirus before opening the file...you can still use limewire with malware apps or antivirus but they may treat it as a virus or spyware I'm not sure so google your questions and read read read...lol...I hope this helps...

downloading anything from the net can be dangerous just remember to scan everything with antivirus before opening...what I do is have everything downloaded to a folder on my desktop then I scan it everytime I download something...
