I found it safer to never tell anyone irl that i was DID until i retired from the work force.
You deserve friends with more brains than to betray you like that.
It would be illegal here to fire you for that, but it may not be worth a fight if it becomes public.
I only told my husband of 39 years this year, & a couple of people i know irl also.
