My illness hit me, too, smack in the middle of college..I began skipping classes too..I had paranormal things happen to me, it was scary..I was at Michigan State at the time I still miss it to this day..I came home and went to college at home and eventually graduated..but, oh so young you must be, you have the world ahead of you it's all a twinkle in your eye now, all of it ahead of you..what you say to your professors is there's been a medical emergency or medical problems no need for clarification..that's what we told mine and they gave me extra time to make up work..do you have a support system?
