I was not late with my payments but was struggling to make the payment due to unexpected events...my thought was to have my loan modified in hopes of getting back on my feet.
After years of hard work and frugality those unexpected events drained my savings.

Although I hate the reasons for it, I am in good company...good folks doing their best to get through a rough time.
