Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have heard of phetermine, but I live in Germany, and it´s tough to get meds from the port. I can´t order by the net, so I am in a pickle.

You are so lucky! I wish my pdoc would do the same! I´ll tell him the same(which is true) problems. You know, most pdocs don´t take the weight gain seriously, when it could Cause a mood change! I am not afraid of mania either and I have been on Effexor for the last 6mo and no mania.

I don't know if being bipolar you can take this,but my sister in law gets a strong diet pill called phetermine(?) and she dropped so much wait so fast.But it can be a major stimulant so I guess it might put you right into mania which seems to be the biggest concern w/ docs about such meds.I pushed my doc for adderall b/c of sleep,focus,and weight gain issues. I have been taking a low dose for alittle over a week now and it will help the weight I can already see a huge difference in the over eatting issue. and It (so far) as not made me feel the least bit manic.[/quote]
