I see my PNP every 2 months. The prescription I take has to be written anew every 30 days and can't be phoned to the pharmacy, so she mails me the interim prescription the month I don't see her. If I need to see her more frequently than every 2 months, I am always welcome to schedule an additional appointment. There have also been times when I needed a different prescription, spoke on the phone to her about what wasn't working, and I stopped by her office to pick up the prescription. She's very flexible. I don't feel the same need to see her regularly as I do with my therapist, but in times when I needed a lot of support, it was great to have her on my roster of support people, and be able to see her if I wanted to. (My PNP is also a licensed therapist.)
