It sounds like you need to get out of where you are living as soon as possible. It certainly does not sound like an environment that you can adjust to your new dx. Is there somewhere that you can stay unitl you can move in with your friend? Good luck with the living arrangements and hang in there. Don't fall prey to all of the drugs and alcohol that is available at your current residence. Take care.
