Hi there ZennZ--wow--you are working in an environment that'll hurt you big time, as you are so sensitive to these insults---have you been doing it long?
I ask, because when I first began work as a nurse, Everything was a shock to my system--death, adult feces, etc etc., and it took about a year before i developed a sick sense of humor- a "callus" way of handling the job. You gotta, if you have any empathy, compassion, or sensitivity at all--you'll notice it in really on the ball nurses-

they are flippant about alot of stuff that seems very serious and upsetting to the ordinary "joe"--they have to be to safeguard their own minds and hearts.

If you can't develop such a way of handling this job- I agree with Mike--try for another career? if possible? ((((ZennZ)))))-theo
