I don't really see a problem with texting shorthand- I try to use correct grammar if I'm typing a post or speaking, but when I'm on the go and quickly texting a friend I'm not going to use perfect grammar. They're not going to use perfect grammar either. It's just easier to abbreviate when a text only has 140 characters worth of space or something like that. I can see not using it in a post that you've taken the time to write out, but if face-paced chat or texts it makes sense to me.

When I'm really nervous I don't like to type with any capital letters, they freak me out. Sometimes I won't use commas and it'll have odd spacing... maybe that made sense to me when I wrote it, even if it is incorrect. I don't see why that's such a crime. Maybe I'm misreading the tone of the thread. I didn't think grammar and spelling were so important on a support site. To each and their own, I guess.

I speak two languages and I get my languages mixed up sometimes. There's certain words I can never spell in English, and there are some expressions that don't translate properly. English really isn't an easy language... which makes it difficult for me to get annoyed at people who don't/can't use it properly. If I had someone jump down my throat or refuse to communicate with me every time I made a mistake in English or French, I probably wouldn't be able to speak any languages.
Thanks for this!
