Sounds like a little mania... exercise is awesome, especially when you are having a hard time sleeping. It's one of the things I currently wish I could get back too right now.
Whenever I had a little walk in the woods in the morning, even if it was just a mile, I felt better the rest of the day. One of our best brain chemicals is endorphines and unlike caffeine they don't trigger more mania, at least for me.
