Well, I'm 21 and when I was in middle school lots of girls were already dressing like this. They also liked to wear pants with a purposely low rise to show off their super colorful thong...

I don't think it's distasteful, though I remember thinking it was inappropriate back then. I'd never dress like this (not even if I had something to show ) but it's so common now that it's become normal.
