hi, WePow,

i hear you. a dear old friend, now gone, once recommended to me that those of us with bad memories have to diminish the old memories by leading productive lives and creating new, happy memories. the more happy memories we create, the less impact the old ones will have on our psyches. of course, this is easier said than done in some instances.

something that works for me is doing something physical so that i am so tired that i sleep soundly through the night. living in nyc, i accomplish this by walking to and home from work. i experience the sunshine, the breeze touching me, other people and many other things by walking. and, i sleep more soundly too.

yes, i am dismayed that the abuse i suffered as a child is still with me despite it all. and, some days, it still gets the best of me and i wake up at night troubled. but, those nights have been decreasing. keep posting, it helps! i wish you peace.
Thanks for this!
shezbut, WePow
