thunderbear, call here to see if you are eligible for an attorney:

Thanks Byz.
Notice there are three different places to call. Always ask if they know of someone else to call if they cannot help.
Go to your doctor's office and find out if there is a note about the doctor's excuse for strep throat in the medical records. Did your son see the doctor for the stomach flu? If so check the medical records for notes on the visit. Get copies of the records for court. If you can, ask the doctor if he recalls the excuse and stomach flu.
Did he get any prescriptions for the strep or flu. Maybe the druggist has a record you can copy.
He did'nt go to the doc over the flu I just kept him at home and treated t there. But he went to the docs and he got scripts for his throat. And the excuse. Our doc keeps copies of everything from scripts to notes for work/school in the patients files. So it won't be too had to get that.
You should see if you can get a lawyer first. The lawyer may have something different to look for.
Was there a judge there when you were taking with the county attorney? Or were you there to pick up the papers accusing you of a crime? A judge should not allow the county attorney to interrupt you.
Yes. The judge was right there but he had about 20 other defendants in there so he was dealing with some of them. The attorney, my husband and I were talking at a table right next to the judge's stand.
Let us know what is going on.
Sorry about this, thunder.
Another thign that was going on at that time was back in Oct, our principle was retiring and there were 2 interim principles taking her place until they hired a permanent replacement. And I know that school excuses go to the principle and she sends them to the truant officer. Mabye the exccuses got mixed up among all the stuff that was going on at that time. I don't know I'm oing to figure it all out tomarrow. Hopefully anyway. Thakns Byz
