I hope you can hang in there Janniebug. If you can't do your homework maybe if you are trying to think of coping skills you could write some of them down instead. It can be good to have a list of skills because when we need them the most they are usually gone from our thoughts... I know people who carry a list of coping skills with them all the time, just having the list sometimes gives them some comfort.
Here's hoping you can find some more understanding professionals, and in the meantime, there is always us...
