I have alway had very bad teeth. They say that when my permanent teeth were forming they formed without good enamel because of my being sick, high temperatures & antibiotics. My whole life I was grinding my teeth. By the time I was in highschool, I had teeth that were cracking & falling apart (that was in the 60's). Every dentist appointment was nothing but horror. I always went to the dentist for cleaning & fillings. In 1994 (I was in my mid 40's), & ended up on AD's, the teeth grinding got worse (I didn't realize it at the time), but since that point, every tooth in my mouth is broken off & 3 years ago, I needed to have them all pulled & get dentures. No insurance & no money hasn't put me in a place where I can afford it, so I haven't been able to do anything about it. I need more done than just the teeth pulled also as the grinding of the teeth formed a soft tissue on the back side of my lower teeth that has to be removed for any dentures to be able to fit in my mouth. Can't do implants (too expensive & also, my gums are too small & would need grafting (estimated cost of $40,000 & no guarantee it would work anyway).

Hoping that this summer or fall I will be able to afford to get this taken care of before I get to a point where I have an emergency situation. I have no idea how this is all going to work out. Have to look into clinics & other options. Have so many other issues I'm dealing with, it's low on the priority list at this point, but just hanging on that no major emergency situation like an abcess happens before I get around to taking care of it......guess if an emergency does happen however, it will force me to take action.....not exactly the best choice though.

My truck needs tires before I can afford my teeth.....isn't life grand????
