I did have Ménière's and lost all my hearing in one ear but both of my eardrums have been broken too many times too. I kind of like my tinnitus, it's more a "rushing" white noise than a ringing and I can ignore/not hear it most of the time; I lay on my good ear at night and then my husband's snoring isn't so bad :-)
