Thanks for the replies.

Mine used to be quiet and I had got so used to it, but after the cold everything is worse.
The ENT is sending me to see a nurse or someone that knows a lot about it.

I usually get like a hissing noise and sometimes like a whistle sound that just lasts a few seconds or minutes at the most.

I haven't tried ear plugs though and thanks for the offer of sending a PM Jen
