Why not just abolish disease, suffering, aging, and death altogether. And birth for that matter. We would just all be here enjoying life at say, physically age 35-45. Perfect number of people, no more. If someone really wanted to die, there would be a way, but difficult so it had to be pondered on long and hard. I agree with the "no pollution" that someone else suggested. We seriously need to stop all petroleum products. I thought about ending mental illness, but even with eliminating the most severe cases from ever developing, there would just be a new calibration where quirky or weird people would be seen as being ill. So then I'd say bar bigoted and judgmental attitudes. I'd still allow for a wide range of emotions, because sometimes it's proper to be angry and hate injustice so that things can be changed. And how can you know happiness without sadness or boredom for that matter. My ideal society would be based on the improvement of one's mind (a theft from Utopia, granted). People would live to learn. Not just to be knowledgeable, but to make life more rich with ideas and inventions. Less boredom if you're constantly learning and reaching to make your own and other peoples' lives better. We would explore the galaxy and the universe. Okay, waxing Roddenberry, so I'll stop there.
