So, I want to know if I am crazy for something I did earlier this week. Would anyone else e-mail their psychiatrist with a question they didn't know how to ask in person? I began questioning his diagnosis of me as I did not show the symptoms as a child and think I should have (I have another post on that in the appropriate forum - Asperger's). I wasn't sure how to bring it up at my last visit, so I didn't. After leaving it was bugging me enough that I wanted an answer. I searched for his email a few months ago when I had another general question and emailed it and he responded back, so I know it is a real email before sending this more specific question (my diagnosis). Now (almost a week later....he took 7 or 8 days to respond last time) I'm worried that maybe I shouldn't have sent the email. Is it crazy to ask your psychiatirst in an email if he diagnosed you correctly and what other diagnosis is possile? What do others think?
