It can be bitter sweet. It's so hard to say goodbye to friends and the people you have been seeing every day for so long. It's nice if you can keep in touch or are in the same town so that you'll see them; but that's not always possible. I went away to school right after graduation. The loss is never easy. It has helped me with the passage of time, to get involved in new things, and to meet new people.

I'm going to off to college next year, and I do plan on trying to meet new people (though socializing is difficult for me) and trying new things like joining clubs and organizations. Everytime I leave a school (graduating elementary, middle school, high school) I end up feeling this way but naturally I find new things/people to focus on. I always get that feeling like I'll never meet another person like the one I've lost, but I know that's just the depression talking. Thanks you, and everyone else for your response!
