My tinnitis is a ringing sound too. A constant high pitch. It isn't masked with hearing aids but I don't always hear it if I'm involved in something where there are normal sounds around me. It is worse at night when I go to bed. It seems so loud at that time. I wish I could have a radio on to help, but that doesn't work for me.
