Nothing wrong with "safe" mode!

Maybe work on a list of things to do when you need to do this? I go to the movies for escape. You go to the gym? Why not get ready and go there, even if you don't plan on working out? Boredom is not a good thing. When I can't get physically to the movies, because of physical pain or fatigue, then I do mind games, word games --or if the mind can't focus -- watch comedies on tv or youtube. The key thing is to "allow" yourself to feel what you feel, or not be able to do what you want to ... things will change, you won't stay this way, and you'll move on soon enough.
PS That IS life ... things happen, we deal with it (or not, our choice) and move on ... we create things, other things happen, we experience them, and move on ...
