I'm glad that I found this thread. I'm 41 and went for my annual physical today and my gp wants me to get a mammogram because my breasts are apparently "dense and lumpy". I have really big breasts (E cup) so I'm worried about it hurting. I'm glad to read that most people don't find it painful. I may take an advil in advance just in case. Now I just have to phone the lab to make the appointment before I chicken out.
