I am so sorry to hear things didn't go well at the hospital. It's not easy when you already aren't feeling well and concerned for a loved one at the same time.
Meds were just a part of the answer for me. The biggest help to me in working with my emotions was finding help through Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I learned to manage my emotions and life skills to function. It was a life saver in my case.
