It is very hard to cut people out of your life because of triggers. I know because I had to do it with my own father. He didn't understand and he is bipolar as well. His relationship with me was just too toxic considering all the abuse he put me through as a child. But, I did manged to cut him out of my life. It was hard, no matter of abusive he was he was still my father.
