Good question! I had to think about this.

Back in the days when I was more functional and social, I believe I met one individual, a middle-aged man, who took Paxil for a while. If I remember correctly, he was no longer taking any antidepressants nor was in therapy. I think it was a case of single-episode depression.

Unfortunately, I don't fit in that category. But this subject reminds me depression takes many forms, and I hope my posts as someone who is a long-term depression sufferer do not discourage others whose depression may be of the short-lived variety.
