I've been on Effexor XR for a year and a half and I love it. I would not be functioning today without it. I am at a very high dose, and about a month ago I had to have Mirtazapine added in to help boost the Effexor, but all in all it has done wonders for me with no real side effects to speak of. I think that with Effexor as well as most meds, it's all a matter of trial and error.
