Do you know you can talk on a microphone on msn for free? I downloaded skype a while back and I had problems with it... tried msn and it works even better (with skype it was always cutting out). So that could be a solution if you can't get skype for whatever reason. (on msn I think you click something like "call" when you're in a conversation with somebody).
