I saw my new pdoc this morning (finally!) and he did add a small dose of Celexa to help with my mild depression, irritability, and to hopefully help me not be so tired all the time. I'm a little nervous about starting new meds, I always am, because I tend to have strange reactions to meds, and I've been allergic to so many things. I was reading the side effects, and OMG, there are zillions of them! So I was just wondering if anyone has taken this med and if you've had any of the side effects? What were they and did they pass with time?

I will be following up with him every 4 -6 weeks for awhile to monitor any side effects and to make sure it doesn't push me up into mania. He said that if I run a *little* on the hypomanic side that wouldn't be a problem; it's better than running a little on the depressed side. It really is a small dose, only 10mg, so hopefully there won't be any problems! BTW...he kept everything else the same so I'm still on Lamictal, clonazepam PRN, and my sleep meds.

Thanks for any input!!
