Why is the smiley not aligned correctly?

I am really in the mood to use this smiley tonight. I never use this smiley because I usually don't feel 'argh' and because it does not align properly with the text, like this so it makes all the rest of the paragraph look sloppy. I've never come across another smiley that does this, and I wondered if it was intentional, if it could be fixed or if is just


See - the doesn't do that. Or the . Even the . They all stay nice and aligned with the rest of the text on the line. It looks so much better.
Even the puts a little space between this line and the line above since it is so big, but at least it is centered with the text.

If it is because of his little arm waving could it at least be centered with the text?
Or maybe that is part of the ARGH smiley - having to feel like when you see how the smiley has messed up your nice neat paragraphs.
