from what dr told me, vistaril is an antihistimine that works well for anxiety. i didn't really believe him. well, i was wrong. it worked great for the generalized anxiety, but made me tired. it didn't help panic attacks at all.

so if you have generalized anxiety, you have a good chance of it working for ya. dr said the tiredness i would adjust to. i did, but still always felt it.

it wasn't long after that, that i was sent to p'doc and he started giving me benzos.

that was years and years ago and i don't take any of that, but i remember the vistaril working well on the all day "can't sit still, mind racing" anxiety.
