Ive done over 4 years of research but not on hearing loss. my work has been on Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID is the new name for Multiple Personality Disorder). you can find my work on NAMI in the messageboard Living With a Personality Disorder and the thread is subject line DID and my handle there is katherine. There is a list of research material located on the thread there and I also placed it here on psych central in the Dissociative Disorders message board. My public library was extremely helpful in my research in locating research materials all over the USA. Local college librarys were also so helpful. Calling community agencies on the topic of research will also bring a wealth of information for you. Just tell them you are doing research and would like any information they have to offer about their agency and the topic of your research. writing to authors of the books you find will also bring information your way. Survivors, authors and professionals were very willing to talk with me and my therapist and send me materials. Good luck and take care.
