I think it means that, at the moment, you are the only one he's thinking about and interested in having a relationship with, sexual or otherwise. But it's not necessarily the same as love. I don't say to my husband (or he, to me), "I desire you!" I mostly say, "I love you." Desire is part of love I think, but love does not necessarily come from desire.
