I've been in both private & hospital psych units & sometimes just in the medical hospital with a psych T that would visit every day. I do think that if feels like more freedom in the provat psych hopital, but it reality, they were both pretty much the same.......after OD's, being in a closed unit was the same no matter which hospital....but most times I would end up in the medical area then get transferred over to the psych anyway.

It's good to have the medical hospital available when going through med change if you have a bad reaction or something.......wishing you the best of luck with this.
